I'm a 02 Silver TT guy. Just discovered this board from Steve S's x-post on the LS date. I always thought this board was more about Pro Motorsport discussion, rather than for enthusiat/track driving.

I started tracking my car at ACNA Sears event in 03. It was supposed to be an errand/commute car, but ended up getting chipped, a harness bar, 6pt harnesses, DOT street/race tires, ...then a bunch of burnt out disintegrating "Performance" brake pads which necessitated a 2B big brake upgrade, better shocks (Konis). Now, it's a reasonable track car. The car seems to mix it up pretty well the Evos and S4s of the world. Now I'm transitioning to a modded 93 RS America (sort of a lightened 964 Carrera), which isn't quite track ready. Missing some parts to my rollbar. Saving up some pennies for some harnesses and some Recaro SPGs (probably). 611 is "My" usual number.

Anyways, Hi Y'all - looking forward to figuring out who is who at the track.

I did not know that the exhaust hangers for the TT were so soft (or the exhaust muffler so heavy?) that it would sway that much under hard cornering!

Welcome to the board! I guess there's both sides of motorsports here, both Audi track enthusiasts and overall motorsports fans. I'm primarily the latter, but always enjoy the enthusiast threads, as I enjoy karting and driving schools.

this is our first here in SoCal and it should be a fun-filled 2 days. also, for whoever is registered, you will have the opportunity to do more runs since this event won't be as full as other NorCal ACNA track events.

please see link below for more details.<ul><li><a href="http://sccaudi.com/articles.asp?id=104">http://sccaudi.com/articles.asp?id=104</a</li></ul>

especially for a weekday. i spoke to buttonwillow today and even they thought we did pretty good so far with the number of people currently registered, AND we still have 3 weeks left until event date.

all i know is, at least we broke even, which is not bad for a first track event. nonetheless, it should still be pretty exciting.

Glad you will be in the black...since I was co-eventmaster with Dean for the first two Laguna events..I definitely know whats involved..and the importance of breaking even. You got SoCal dealership sponsorship, correct? Vendor contributions? It helps when the dealers pay for the food both days. :-)
