never got to any of the events last year in NorCal, but it looks like a barrel of fun. my concern is the character of the surfaces used though; I'm afraid my A4, lowered, firm suspension , will just be completely out of its element (or worse, get damaged)
I know the courses are dirt w/ pebbles and maybe small rocks, but is the surface usually pretty rutty also...or flat??

it's ice and snow.
not much difference really, it hurts the car as much :)
your results may vary, but I've done some with flat surfaces....and some with oh-holy-bumpy-ride-batman surfaces. not great for the health of the car..
but alot of fun.
I'd do it ;)

and it's really, really fun!!!!
That eing said, you wouldn't catch me doing it in my S4! It is retty hard on the car. So far we haven't broke anything badly, but the car has 2Bennett coilvers etc and after each event you need to lk at stuff closely. We've ard really loose suspension bits after a one day event ;)
All and all, it's soooooooooo fun! Also, if you can, think about a 4000Q for it! We bought one of ours for $250!! And the othe rone (nicer paint, maintenence, etc) for $1200, so they can be had for cheap! Throw some suspension, tires on it and have some erious fun!
We actually take ours out to the desert too when we go dirt biking, super fun!
Cheers,
Jewel
it's never wild enough out there that you're catching any "air" is it? would you say it's harder on the car than AutoX or HPDE??

think "not flat" surfaces
I've rallied the A4 twice, and did numerous winter events also (rallyX-ish /winter autox).
I've broken something at every event, no joke.
