from talking about various topics about dedicated cars which are trailered to the track, i've heard a lot of pros and cons from folks at the track.

i think it boils down to the owner and what they are willing to deal with.

know what you're getting into before you pull the trigger. today's technology allows you to get pretty close to a full-on racecar and still be able to drive it to an event.

It's street legal, but is built for the track. It is only kept street legal to get to the track. Hondas are fast and cheap to run, I highly recommend one. Mine is built from a recovered theft shell that was bought for 1500$.

I'm building my 85 CGT to be my Track Car. It may not be the fastest thing oout there, but it will be fun. Besides, once you can be smooth, in a slower car, you are then fast. Then you can move up the power bar!

Sell my S4 Avant..and keep the tow vehicle (2000 Chevy Tahoe) and keep the dedicated track/race car (1990 Spec Miata). Sometimes you can't have your cake and eat it too.
