I have A41.8tqm due in 02/99 but my dealer has received a beautiful 2.8tqm.Thought I would take a look and test drive anything I should pay attention to on my test drive.By the way my dealer has more 1999 A4's on the lot then I have ever seen.Audi must be shipping heavy at year end.

Hope you enjoy your test-drive. I'm getting a 1.8 b/c I don't think the additional cost of the 2.8 is justified. Only exception I can think of is if you can't drive a stick, then maybe I'd go with the 2.8 b/c of the additional HP, but it looks like you can drive a manual trans.<br>One note, the 2.8 doesn't come with a turbo charger, only the 1.8.

Feel of engine, Interior looks/style, compare the 2.8 and 1.8T emblems on the trunk :), Silver trim around windows compared to black trim, seriously though, go with what feels better to you. Assuming money is not a factor.

Love my A4 Avant (manual, Sport seats & suspension). However, BIG complaint I have is engine "flywheel' effect - when upshifting, have to wait a long time for engine to spin down to approp. speed for next gear. Makes fast smooth shifts frustrating. Will be mentioning this at first service.
