Since I plunked down about US$3K for my new wheels (Work Equip Anhelo, 17x8) and S-02 Pole Positions, I discovered that it just doesn't look right with the current sports suspension.
So now, I'm trying to figure out how to drop my car (for now, at least until I can affort a full H&R or KW setup) without spending close to US$1000...
A friend of mine suggested a Bilstein spring kit for around US$300 installed, which would lower the car 1.3 inches from stock height, about a half-inch lower than my current sports suspension.
Opinions?
-Phil
98.5 AluSilver2.8blahblahblah...
P.S. I'll post pics as soon as I get off my procrastinatin' butt and go out to take some...

phil, i have a 971.8tq with no factory sport suspension and i used apex springs only.It lowered the car almost two inches. the car looks great and handles really good. they cost about $400(canadian). i still have the factory 16" and it still looks good. hope this was some help.

Sounds mighty interesting, casue my 17X8.5's look awful with the car still too high, even with the factory sport suspension!
I'm assuming that you live in Canada since you posted the Canadian price. Where in Canada do you live? How does the car perform in the harsh Canadian winters?? I had always thought that a 2" drop was a lot for winter driving...but I never had the pleasure of trying it first hand. Any problems with ground clearance or the car getting stuck in the snow?
Please post your opinions about this matter.
Thank you!

I've only had the springs on for about two months so far, and belive it or not we have not yet had any snow here in toronto. But to be honest I'm not worried about the snow the car last year (not lowered) went through lots of deep snow (while traveling through the U.S.) and it had no problem. So I don't precive any other problems this winter, but if I do I will be sure to keep you people informed. The only problem I've had so far is the size of some of the speed bumps.

My cousin runs a small performance shop here in NorCal, that's the deal he's giving me. I'm not sure what he normally charges, I'll ask him tho...
Actually I think it's closer to $289 for the set, plus labor...
-Phil

i drove from oshawa, to downtown toronto for 6 years.
The one year we had massive snow, every one was locked for the weekend.
However suzukis and other wanabees were locked in as well.
