I understand that a group of ALMS drivers will be in downtown San Jose with the cars on 9/5 from Noon to 2:00pm I believe and then at Speedring for a charity event from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. I guess you will be able to "challenge" guys like Said on the Speedring.

I'll already be on the highway to Topeka for Nat's. Us lifetime members would have a serious advantage over many of those racecar drivers. Hehehehe.

maybe even on an M3 team.
Actually, given the fact most grew up karting I am sure they would be pretty quick. Plus, they will likely get to do some laps before.
After seeing in car shots of F1 and Cart, I can see why karting is really the only preparation other than open wheel racing. Karting is the only other place where corners come up that fast. An in car shot at Mid-Ohio looked like the guy was on a kart track. Just insane.

Yeah, those with lots of karting experience will definitely do well. Also, the lighter folks will do well. You shoulda seen Memo Gidley come in and kick our butts one night. At first he was slamming people into the walls, but once he calmed down (we were starting to get pissed) he was still turning much faster lap times.
