It is very unfortunately that DonP has had nothing but problems with his K04 upgrade from Wetterauer. There have been several posts of individuals with this upgrade, all from Wetterauer and they have all had issues. This is by far the priciest of all the K04 upgrades at $2495 and one should expect nothing less than a product that is free of defects and performs as advertised. This did not happen.<p>Don has been updating us for at least 2 months on the various problems: - detonation, - surgeing, - hp number after K04 of 220-225 fall 10-15 hp short of what Wetterauer claimed for this upgrade. <p>Maybe someday this company will get this upgrade to work, but I did not buy this upgrade from them due to the many problems posted about this package and in particular, DonP has been very diligent in keeping those among us who are looking at this upgrade informed and this will probably result in many of us avoiding this particular vendor for now.<p><br>

I have not read Don's post's due to the boards slow fall into teenage like debates, but can Don please post as to the symptoms? I have had several problems running a Stage III TAP chip that turned out to be a sensor problem. I may be able to help him.

230-240hp claimed w/HKS exh seems about right as I have beaten an M3 w/exh (I don't know what else) on the highway. No pinging, just wheelspin (FWD). Also, when I had only the exh and Neuspeed stage I, I held dead equal to a stage II TAP quattro and his was pinging. I don't want to be flamed, but for the power output, success of installation and operation, good customer support, and above all $$ per HP, you cannot beat GreedSpeed/Neuspeed on the K04 kit. IMHO. :-)
