Lots of braking for the Andretti Hairpin (might want to go conservative here most of the time to save brakes), T6 can be hairy if you really fly through it (I know lots of people that have spun there), the corkscrew is really fun and not that difficult, T9 is a very, very late apex turn (the exit can be hairy if you apex too early), T11 is tight but you gotta nail this turn entering the main straight.

Most of the apex berms are pretty abusive, might try to avoid actually driving on them. Other than that, it's fun!!
Corey S

At Laguna, I did several laps at 2:04....7-8 at that time...his car was the 172 bhp 2.8 12V but he did have koni coilovers and Kumho VictoRacers. The 12V died going up the back stretch ...tooooo...heaaaaaaaavyyyyy.

I think I could do a 1:54...maybe 1:51 or so with my S4 w/H&R coilovers, Neuspeed/borla exhaust, and my Kumhos.

For another comparison...Mark Franklin did a 2:00 flat in his 98.5 A4 1.8TQM with Wett chip and Toyo RA1 tires. This was last year during time trials for a Touring Car Club event.

We will see...I will be going in March.

In a 1983 Turbo Quattro Coupe
approx 220 hp
225 series street tires (yoko A520's)
coilovers with konis

i did a 1:59. That was the first time i was there, so i dont know what it would be now. Ive really upgraded the brakes now, so i would think it would drop another second or two.

At sears i did 2:11 and in the wet at sears did a 2:16.

dunno if that helps much...

That was with Kuhmo's which I found to be ok, until I slapped on some BFG R1's in Sear's Point - 2:08 (with traffic). The BFG's have a harder sidewall and combats the lack of negative camber up front, unlike the Kuhmo's where you were rolling on the sidewalls :)

With or without rev limiter?

Without. My instructor was doing 1:44, so I've got some practicing to do.

Just signed up here because I wanted to comment on your lap times.

There are guys in bone stock Integra Type R's running as low as 1:51 (with race tires and Hawk Blues). I've heard of Integra Type R's hitting 1:55 on street tires. Now I hear S4's on hitting 2:00 on race tires!!!

Here's TCC's Laguna Seca 99 results:

The guys to look out for are Glen Kawano, Rob Montinola, and Paul Subramanya. Glen's car is bone stock (I'm not kidding) and has only sway bars.
