I have heard about it for many years. Every time I have tried practicing it on the street, I can't make it work. When I try and blip the throttle, I disturb the brakes. I guess when racing, you use as much brake pressure as you can so you have a better fulcrum for blipping, but on the street I end up stomping the hell out of the brake as well, and that is bad. Far more disturbing than a few mismatched revs going into the corner.
99.5 1.8Tqms Laser Red

just practice more. Since I learned, it has become second nature both on the street and on the track. I don't ever "not" heel-toe anymore.
I've found the following to be a good way to practice: Everytime you come up to a stop sign or traffic light, depress the clutch early (keeping the car in gear just in case you have to GO!) and practice blipping the throttle while braking smoothly. This will allow you to get your feet trained without the extra added distraction of down-shifting and turning. Once your feet are trained, your golden!
Good Luck,

So you're hooked now. Isn't it great?

I was referring to heel-toe, not left foot braking; still working on that one. But thanks for the vote of confidence!

Please forgive. I've been teaching a lot of both 'tricks' to people this summer.
Now.....why aren't you practicing the left foot braking yet?
I know you're ready for this! I expect you'll have this mastered by the next time I see you! ;-)
