Corey managed to do something that many long-time autocrossers are finding it hard to believe. In a field of 253 cars at Oakland Coliseum this past weekend, on a relatively tight course, Corey was able to manage TTOD (top time of day). Now, this was not because it was raining, nor had it been raining, nope...this was in regular sunlight...on regular pavement..under normal driving conditions. The fact that Corey was able to manuveur that 3,550 lb sedan across an autox and beat Lotuses, Miatas, open wheeled cars, prepared cars, and even those seasoned Vette owners, is quite a feat. Corey is definitely kickin some MAJOR bootie. Give him a hand for his accomplishment. (clap..clap...clap)

The link to the results is shown below....Corey is competing in C-Street Prepared class.<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=3821"><br><br>

Damn, I've been playing too much Diablo2 on bnet...

But seriously, that is extremely impressive. I certainly can't do that yet. Best I can manage is to take FTD when it rains ;) The big auto-x events turn up some scary fast cars and some scary fast drivers (ahem, Corey...).

Damn, I just realized, he swapped in the stock chip to do this too, didn't he?

Stock chip, man. Actually, I don't think the chip does too much at the autoX, perhaps a couple tenths. I do think that UUC exhaust helps more than that, though. Turbo spool up is much quicker, that really helps. I'm loving the VM2.<p>Sharon

That's actually me talking in that last post. With Sharon and I occasionally sharing a computer, I sometimes forget to log her out before posting. Doh!<p>Corey S

Did I read right that this is Corey's second year driving? What's your secret Corey? That Kart stuff out in Stockton or wherever that place is? :)<ul><li><a href="http://www.kuci.org/~wyang/pics/rental/">Rental Adventures at Autocross & Microsoft Campus</a></li></ul>

Can't believe you turned a TTOD with a fat pig like that. TTOD? with a 3600lb porker? Incredible. I'm totally dumbfounded. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Wow! Congrats Corey. I bow to you.

BTW, it would have sounded weird if Sharon really did say "Stock chip, man."<p>Andrew Lee

I must say, it sure felt great to top time of day. I didn't think I'd ever get there, especially with F125 karts and Ralt RT-5's showing up all the time. Well, the Ralt wasn't there last week, and the kart hit a cone (but had a better scratch time than I did ). It's all good, right!!

We just had another autoX yesterday, and sorry to disappoint, but I couldn't do TTOD two weeks in a row. :-P The course was fun, but that lot was very dirty. By the end of the day there were large pieces of gravel all over the place, and we were in the last run group. There wasn't much you could do. I did win my class, but will be lucky to have a top 25 time of day.

Well, next week we're back to the first run group. Cool mornings mean extra power!!! ;-)<p>Corey S
