event that is to take place on Nov 13-14?

My wedding is Nov 11 and my fiancee and I are planning to honeymoon in Sonoma and San Francisco. So this event is PERFECT!

But as we'll be flying out (from CT) and will have to rent a car, I don't think that there is much in the Dollar, Budget, Hertz, etc., line-up that is worthy of Sears Point!

Anyone here interested in letting me co-drive? I've done 9 events (inlcuding this years' upcoming Summit Point event), am Intermediate (for QCUSA) level, am the eventmaster at Summit Point and, even though I have been signed off, I still like having an instructor to critique me, etc.

Please e-mail me if you're interested and feel "generous!" I'll even offer to buy your meals at the track, or pay for all the gas, or something else!

This last weekend was my first track event and I noticed other first timers being signed off. I didn't quite understand why everyone was in a hurry to run solo. I asked my instructor about it and she said I probably could have been signed off if I wanted to, but I liked having someone in the car to critique me too. I feel more comfortable knowing that another driver feels the same.

As for your question, as much as I'd like to go to Sears Point, I can't do it this year. Otherwise, I might have been inclined to let you co-drive my S4. Great track and I'm considering going there next year.

Still learning,
Brett Gissel

The last one was a Hyundai at Parhrump...in fact the first time I saw him behind the wheel of an Audi was at Mid-Ohio.
Sharon

...know the TT will be manual, but will it be FWD? The A4 is most likely quattro, but will it be an automatic?

Hi Jon:

If you don't insist on having an Audi, about the best thing you could rent for the money would be a Honda S2000. They're a blast on the track (as long as you keep the revs between 6500 and the 9000 rpm red line!) and shouldn't be ridiculously expensive. Jim from Mother's had an S2000 rental at Pahrump (where Larry had the Daewoo) and it got more use than any car out there - virtually everyone got to drive it!

P.S. - I saw all of your articles in the recent QCUSA quarterly magazine. I didn't know you were a celebrity!

It's a fun thing to do while I am in Grad School (the writing) and have time.

But when I have to get a real job ... uh-oh.
