Wetterauer. The magazine tested the Wett chip as well as Hoppens', TAPs', and someone else's. The wett chip came away with top honors. I forget who came in second, but then again that usually is the case isn't it. The article is pretty informative with diagrams and everything.
Jeremy
1.8TQ Wett, Remus
Could you be a little more specific in terms of the name of the mag., which issue (month) ect. thanks in advance.
This is the European Car magazine article in May 1998. The winner was TAP, not Wetterauer.

They weren't recommended, no chips were actually recommended, genious. The dynamometer shows the true story. You get what you pay for and for the horsepower per dollar with the amount of horsepower you do get, wett is clearly the choice.
ACTUALLY THE WETT AND TAP POWERBANDS ARE THE WORST OF THE 4 TESTED. AND IF YOU TALK DOLLAR PER HORSEPOWER THEN NEUSPEED, WHICH WASN'T TESTED, IS THE REAL WINNER.

Actually the best HP per dollar is the Neuspeed chip--but the did not test it.
