Since no one else posted...
We had a good showing of A4s at the SCCA Autocross in Stockton yesterday. Sorry, I didn't keep track of everyone's times, but I know relative placings. It was a tight, short course with fast times well below 40 seconds. The course was very narrow in places; everyone took cones out at some point.
Making her debut appearance in G-Stock was Christine S in her 99.5 30v.
Meanwhile in the C Street Prepared category where the rest of us were: Corey S finally beat rival M3 driver, Navid Kahangi and took the second place for the day in CSP! Corey also brought along his younger brother, Nick, who drove Corey's car and beat the rest of us A4 regulars!
Speaking of brothers, Mark and Gregg Franklin showed up and drove Mark's car on his new tires. I think Mark ended up ahead of Gregg (you can't let your brother beat you in your own car, afterall). Me? I ended up in the middle of the pack (on street tires, thankyouverymuch), still holding on to 2nd in CSP-Rookie and still being beaten by Dennis in the white Miata.
And where was Steve S, you ask? Resting after a long day at Thunderhill playing with his new tires. But Steve will be back for the next one on the 22nd, right Steve?
Your humble reporter,
Sharon

Since I will be out at Thunderhill two weekends in a row (August 7th and 14th)...a break (the 21st) ...and then another weekend (Historics)....and maybe another weekend for Thunderhill (Sept 6th)...I dunno about the 21st autocross. I may come back and the locks will be changed on the house. :-(
Steve S
97 2.8QM
