On a choppy ax sweeper at 40mph, I have what feels like a loose contol arm. It almost feels like it is rattling in the steering wheel. Pulling on the links and wheel by hand shows no slop, and I don't have a noise. Is this the dreaded failed bushing? If so, how do you test for this and which link is typically toast?

Hmm, do you mean steering wheel jerk? If you get an occassional jerk through the sweeper and then the wheel feels "loose", it's normal under hard or bumpy turning. It does all sorts of interesting things on the track/auto-x. Tracking should still dead on though.<p>Warren

It feels like there is a loose link as the tires load and unload. Almost a wiggling sensation rather than a jerkiness. The only similarity I can describe is like a loose 4x4 front end on washboards. It doesn't just sit and carve, it jiggles. Does that help?
