I need to figure out how much negative camber is enough to stop scrubbing my tires without significantly sacrificing tire life.
I have a 98.5 1.8TQMS. Running either my sport 7 spokers or 225/45/17 P7000SS on track events, I have been rolling the tire over BADLY. Even at COLD pressures of 40 all around I come in with a 135 degree tire and 44-46 pounds of pressure and I am still scrubbing down below the side block.
My friend who races a Mustang (i know it's a different animal) runs 1.0 negative camber on the street and 2+ at the track. I have a 50 mile commute (each way) and don't want to change my tires more often than I wax my A4.
Any suggestions for front and rear alignment specs would be appreciated. The car is going to the dealer next week for the new alignment.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Mike O.
98.5 1.8TQMS, Wett 1.0, Stebro, Mintex, etc,etc,etc

You'd never catch ME doing anything like that!!! Some people, the nerve of posting such drivel in the picture poster! They should at least post it all over the A4 page so that everyone sees it, and re-post it every second or third day just to be sure. You can never be too careful with these new people, no reason to crash the archive search machine - its overused as is.
:)
P.S. Egads I'm cynical lately. The above story and the people portrayed are totally satirical and not based on any particular person. Only people spurred to respond to this post negatively are truly guilty of the forementioned imaginary crimes.
