This is me paddocked. A sharp photo analyst will be able to see the Scorpion tips. A CIA photoanalyst will be able to make out the 996 Turbo paddocked on the other side.

Sean and I did that one in the rain....I dunno about you...but those Type - Rs
either have poor drivers...or they are that good. At the autocross earlier
this year I outperformed one pretty badly. I think the driver had not amassed
a ton of driving skills yet.
Robbie, youre coming on the 16-17th right? If so, see you on Friday night
in the Best Western Golden Pheasant Inn Restaurant.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM

That's the new "back straight" that we were accelerating into. I didn't want to say so (though the evidence of the picture pretty much tells it), but the Type-R guys that were there (one was also just in front of me when that shot taken... ahhg! pinned between Type R's NOOOO!) had a couple of complaints about "road hogging" (sloppy lines, or just plain selfishness, I'm not sure which applied) and general sluggishness on the track. I think the VTEC type R is a 190hp variant. Not sure what the specs are on 0-60, etc., but they aren't all that exceptional. You make the call, I'll doctor the photographs. ;>
Look forward to meeting you Friday the 15th. I'll probably be in the beginner group on the 16th since this is my first QC event, we'll see.
Robbie
'991.8Tqms

It looks like at least three wheels have traction as he shoots through that last elbow before the back straight :) That spot is far left in my "pic". Looks like Sean also likes to thread that sequence of corners to shoot straight through the elbow and end up "on the line" for the back straight (full accelleration down and nearly set up for the critical hard right at the end).
Let it rain! Let it rain! Let it rain!

Robbie
'991.8Tqms

And they really do need an Audi dealership. I wonder which tuner they would pick for Audi in the game? Or would they make something up...
Robbie
'991.8Tqms TAP Stage II.
Skyline Stage 4,420, 640hp.

That little section was rather "interesting" to navigate. I came through pretty good on that lap. There was one lap that I tried a "new" line and got totally screwed up! The rain sure was fun!
Sean
97 1.8Tqm

Hope you two have some time at the TH event. Being a novice at all this, I'd really like to learn/discuss a few things (the line, the Line and "the line"). Especially quattro-centric stuff.
Looks like a great time in the rain!
Cheers.
Robbie
'991.8Tqms
I've always got time to yap about A4s. Thunderhill and club events are the only time I can talk about my car without my audience rolling their eyes! ;-)
Sean
97 1.8Tqm

Sean's A4 Page

Thoes cars are ok. But the best is the either the Impreza rally , or the FTO turbo Racer. Ajust your final gear ratio , 5th and 6th gears so that your to end is about 210 mph, with the handeling of the Impreza, no car can beat you but, maybe the FTO. At least no one has been able to beat me with the Impreza. I'M TAKING ANY CHALLENGERS. Maybe GT2 will have Audi cars.
dw
I'm even faster in the TVR Cerbera racer. It's faster and handles better, as long as you
keep the back end in control in the tight turns. :-)
Corey S
Wett 97 1.8tqm

YOUR RIGHT ABOUT THE CEBERA, I DON'T KNOW ANYONE WHO USES THAT CAR IN THE GAME, THE CAR IS KIND OF SURREAL. IT SO QUICK AND FAST AND DRIVES LIKE IT'S ON RAILS. BUT IT'S ALSO UNATTAINABLE. SEEMS PEOPLE LIKE TO DRIVE A MODIFY CARS THAT THEY CAN ACTUALLY BUY AND DRIVE, LIKE THE IMPREZA, NOW THE FTO CAN'T BE BOUGHT IN THE USA BUT OTHER AREA IT CAN FOR A RESONALBE PRICE, THE CEBERA IS OVER PRICED EVEN FOR EUROPE. SO I DON'T EVEN COUNT THE CEBERA WHEN I'M TALKING ABOUT BEST CARS. BUT YOU ARE RIGHT!
