We just installed the K04 and initial impressions are that it will be just the thing at our next driving event on January 9th. I certainly feel it will stay with an M3 on the straightaway now. The corners were never a problem.

Do you think the new K04 will really make that much difference as to be competitive with an M3? What other mods are on that car? Where's your track event?<p>Rick

Jon, <br> Isn't the K04 upgrade good for about 225 hp? The S4 can't keep up with the M3 and it's pushing over 270 hp out of a twin-turbocharged V6!!! Unless you're pushing some 300+ hp out of your A4, it's doubtful that it will keep up with an M3 in the straights. An E36 M3 on the track is something to be reckoned with! Also, watch out for those heavily modified M3 LTW's ;-) They're so fast that upon flying by you, you may wet yourself. <p>Jordi<br>'99 VW Passat GLS 1.8T<br>'97 BMW M3 Coupe

S4 can't keep up with the American Spec M3? What source do you have?<p>Dan

Our track car is running on Yokohama A032R 235/17 which allows us to carry enough speed through the corners to hold the advantage on the straights.

B&B Stainless exhaust, Neuspeed springs/swaybars, 17" Yokohama A032R 235/40 Road Racing Tires. In a tight track like PIR we were passing M3's at will in the infield only to be repassed on the straight. We'll find out for sure tomorrow, but are very hopeful.
