Paul showed up today, and as far as I know before I left, he had himself a ball! Of course he sure hit a number of pylons (hey, even I did too - the course was tight and slippery!), but it was his first time ever. And I am sure he will later tell you all, that no matter how good you THINK you are with exit ramps, or fast driving on the streets (a NO-NO!), AutoX IS more of a challenge of your skills than you think it is. AutoX really puts you and your car to the test.
And NOBODY laughed at him at all! As a matter of fact, one of the older drivers told me he was personally going to make a racer out of him yet! So Paul stayed longer than I did, and was going to have some Fun runs with Craig (his new found instructor) later for more instruction.
So, with all this FUN, nobody laughing at you, nothing to hurt your car, it is LEGAL, and FREE instruction, . . . . . . . what is preventing the rest of you to come out? And just what do you think will happen if your first time is on a real race track when you go to a Quattro Club event? So think about it - get some FREE instruction at lower speeds before you attempt a real race track with walls and trees around it.
