In the 11/16 AutoWeek, there's an article on the 2000 A4. Last sentence reads "With Audi's plans to start a Mercedes AMG/BMW M-like division, insiders won't rule out an A4 V8". If true, the 3.7 liter, even with new hp upgrade, only brings up 260hp .. not a significant increase from the S4's 2.7 at 250 hp. <p>I'm thinking that there must be a tweaked 3.7 on the way to become heart of the new S6 and maybe the 2000 S4 .. maybe in the 290/300 hp range? And if so, will there be a TT-S ... with 300 hp? Wow, I need a cold shower <gg>. <p>AutoWeek also says an A4 based coupe and cabriolet will be coming after the launch of the new A4 ... along with the continuously variable transmission (due on the A6 in July).<p>
