I love being single ( =no kids to cart around on Halloween nite, so I'll be on the road to Willows Sat afternoon)
I'm heading back up to Thunderhill for the School on Nov. 1, along with my buddy and his 3000 GT VR4. (BTW, we timed some of his laps, his fastest was 1:31, which would have gotten him 2nd place in some of the NASA races at the track).
Also told a buddy who owns a Boxster, and now there's gonna be a bunch of fellow Boxster owners up there too.
Any more A4 people heading up that weekend?
-Phil

Aren't you glad we talked you into coming last time? Again, a bunch of us (I think) are going for the Quattro Club event on Jan 30 and 31st at Thunderhill. It will be an ALL AUDI event. It will be only $250 for the two days....several of us went last year, and it was a blast...we got to drive the new part of the track too....VERY fast. Have fun, and make sure you get a picture of your car if you spin...the spin club is a very prestigious club you know.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM
P.S. I will be at the Oakland Coliseum on October 31st for the SCCA slush series autox though.

Andrew Bennett, of 2Bennett Audimotive (Davis CA) is once again coordinating the 2nd Annual Quattro Club Driving School at Thunderhill Park Raceway in Willows CA (about 60 miles north of Sacramento, just off I5). This two day event will cover things like threshold braking, slalom, and lane toss exercises, plus at least 1.5 days of track time. Last year we got to drive both the main track and the NEW side of the track (very fast). We all pretty much stayed in the Best Western Golden Pheasant Inn at Willows for about $70/night. Many people shared rooms to keep costs down....some even 3 to a room. It was a great event. All types of Audi's were there including the following models: A4, S4 (93-94), S6 (95), 5000, Audi GT, Coupe Quattros, 4000, and even a URQuattro. The full race prepared Porsche driven by Jeffrey Zwart at the Pikes Peak Hillclimb (and won its class) was also there. Can you say "FAST". If the weather was better a Sport Quattro would have been there. Cost was $250/2 days last year, and I would anticipate it being about the same this year. Contact Thunderhill directly or Andrew Bennett at 2Bennett Audimotive for more details....(in the 411 directory under Davis CA)
Steve S.
97 2.8QM
P.S. I am going.

Thunderhill's web site
