Well, I got Speedvision about a year ago, and that's the only thing that I watch right now. I've been able to see events that are never shown on our sports channel (TSN in Canada). You should go to their web site (www.speedvision.com) and have a look at the schedule to get an idea of what they show. I watch most of the car events, touring cars from England and Australia (Germany soon), World Rally Championship, FIA GT Championship, Formula 1. They also had live coverage of Le Mans! There's nothing like staying up at 3 am with a couple of buddies to watch a 24 hour event! Well, maybe beign there in person.
However, $6/month seems steep. My cable company charges about that much, but I get a slew of other channels with that. I say, try it for a month. If you don't like it, then you can cancel it.
Marcin R.
---
'98.5 A4 1.8Tqms

I bought a Satellite dish, only for this channel. Not only, live Formula I, but alot of historical racing stuff. Quite a few touring car series, Australia, UK, German etc.
Also, if you have an interest in aviation, military, etc. they have alot of programs on this as well.
Motorcycling shows, races, are also predominantly featured. JOIN the Speedvision groupies.

Yes, but to quote my Dad (who inevitably turns Speedvision on at the "wrong" time)"Boats & planes suck!"
It's a little joke. He hates it when they do the shows on boats or planes when he wants to see some auto racing action.
:)

If you're a racing junkie this is about as good as it gets. If you're interested in vintage racing, or were around in the sixties and followed racing then, you'll be glued to the screen (except, perhaps, on 'Wings and Water Wednesdays').
Now that the current racing season is coming to a close there will be lots and lots of reruns of BTCC and Australian Touring Car events. The motorized skateboard junk will be on ESPN2.

$6/mo is an incredible bargain for Speedvision. To get it in Pasadena, CA, I'd have to get a complete DSS system for $200, and then pay about $45/mo for the premium service that includes Speedvision. My cable company, Charter Communications, says that they won't carry it because they don't have enough capacity on their system. Yeah, right.
