I said that I wanted to lower my car 1" - 2" and go with a stiffer spring that is on the sport suspension. They said that my stock shocks will wear out in 6 months and that I need to buy shocks made for the lower ride height. Which would be about another $800. Is this right???
ADAM
Yellow / 1.8TWM

Autobahn International (an A4.org advertiser) was offering shocks and springs at $899 a few months back as a combo package. I'd call Sunny at Autobahn and see if that package is still available.
Cameron

I went through the same thing. 1.5" H&R and stock springs. I only kept that set up for 2 months but it felt like it was going south. Regardless of whether you stock shocks will or wont go bad (I belive they will), the stock shock SUCK. And the ride quality and handling of the car WILL suffer.
You can get a whole set of the good Bilstiens from the distributor that shares space with neuspeed in Camarillo, i forgot their name, for 510 bucks! Screamin' deal. And the best 500 bucks you could spend.
I just spent $510 on a muffler! and they told me that was a good deal? Remis dual DTM for 2.8. That was hard to do. The Bilstiens, they're a no brainer.
Damon
98Avant QMS, AMSchip, Cat back, K&N, H&R, Bilstien, 18x8.5 A! SLRs, Recaro SRs,
SO2 Pole Pos

I went to Neuspeed last summer and they are kinda just by themselves...or so it seemed. You may be thinking of the Greedspeed boys (Anthony and Jason) who seem to be over at Neuspeed alot. I can't remember which one...but one of them use to work for Neuspeed.

Damon said:
I just spent $510 on a muffler! and they told me that was a good deal? Remis dual DTM for 2.8. That is what I was able to negotiate with Motorsport One in Mt View CA...and Hoppen Motorsports in Sarasota FL. I ended up getting a used one...for about $290-300.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM
