don't know what the reshaped boot lid is, but i can guess on the soft touch action...<p>the new volvos have a soft touch trunk opening lock on the trunk, meaning that you don't have to push it in like the current A4, just kinda touch it like a cell phone button or a tv remote control button.<p>hope this helps.<p>chris

that you don't have to slam it to close it. Just set the lid down and the latch will activate. Just a guess.<p>Kyle

I belieive it works the same way as in the A6, you just press the lever to open the lid<br>from the inside of the grip, you dont have to push and pull like in the current A4.<br>
