I would like to suggest that the word be passed around to NOT go to the Speedway Grill, Newport Beach, any longer. Our SoCal Audi Quattro Club had the annual X-Mass Party there Saturday, and the management there were a major problem. The agreed price for the meal, $25 per person, was made over the phone, but when the party was near being done, the management were caught trying to up the per person charge! And they also were trying to charge $25 to anyone who had ANYTHING there, even if just a salad or a DRINK! We finally got that settled after almost near an hour of negotiations, but still the management there were trying to RIP us off! And this is the 2nd year the party has been held there, so it seems they do not care about keeping customers.<p>And to top it off, they would NOT allow individuals to pay their share by credit card, unless it was for the entire bill, $1200+!!!! Yet they had done that for the Club last year!<br>

It was pretty cool seeing 30 A4s lined up in a row...quite awe-inspiring...<br>I agree though...the Speedway Grill was very bad about payment...I needed to pay by credit and instead had to empty my wallet of $25...

since they wouldn't accept credit. But the day was great! I've never met such a great group of Audi fanatics. I really enjoyed my conversations with Mike, Albert, Jason, Paul, and Don and his wife. (sorry, I forgot you're wife's name). This meeting has convinced my wife and I to attend many more future Quattro club activities.
