About buying a small device that plugs into the car lighter powered by a 9 volt battery to hold the memory if you need to disconnect the battery cables. Costs less than 10 bucks at most auto parts stores. Sounds like a great idea so you won't have to reprogram the radio and apparently it takes up to 200 miles to reprogram the computers than control engine functions when battery is disconnected.
