I have owned 2.8 quattro since Jan. 1997. Since then I have been experienceing the coolant level decreasing. I took my car into service for that 3-4 times, the dealer could not figure out what is wrong. and the curious thing is there is no sign of leakage. pressure test said OK also. Is that probably because the coolant is evaporating? I am using "red liquid" for it. Some body know what it is?

My '98 is 3+ months old. The cold level dropped below "Min." so I topped up a bit of distilled water. Now, a month or two later, it's just below "min." again. I topped up again with a few ozs. of distilled water and marked the line when cold with a grease pencil. I'll leave it til the 7,500 service in a couple of months and then point it out to my service advisor.
