stevebrown and others have recently been, for lack of a better word, bashed in the forum for being "untrusting" or "overly concerned" about the Tiptronic transmission's ability to carry power from modified setups. This isn't Tony Ricci's problem. This isn't Neuspeed's problem. This isn't Audi's problem. Hell, it might not even be your problem.
But it's somebody's problem. Whether they're moving to the PES Supercharger or the Wett235 kit or the GreedSpeed KKK/K04 kit or whatever. It's a problem. They might regret buying Tiptronic. They might love Tiptronic. But they still have a problem.
I wanted to illustrate this to people who haven't thought about what the upgrade path is, people who have Tiptronic. So, to those people, there is no agreement on the best solution. The S4 transmission might be the best, the shop working on my car said that would be the best choice. Others think you'll have to trade your car in order to upgrade at that level. Others think the guys at ZF know more than you do, and perhaps they do, and you're worrying about nothing.
It's just too bad nobody thought for Stage3+ to include a transmission. They might well have had a customer.
Cameron
