View Full Version : Question? What causes a bubble on a tire. I have a very noticable bubble on my so3's :(

I noticed it today while I was cleaning my rims. I don't recall hitting any major potholes.

Tire size 225/40/18 Had them since late august about 20k on the tires. I like these tires so much, quiet, grippy in the dry and wet. Lots of thread left.

I have always maintained the tire pressure at 39 psi. Checked everyday :) (lots of free time)

I'm going to get a new set, cause I love these tires that much. Just wanted some insight on the bubble?

thanks, jaime

check to see if bridgestone will warranty the tire. I just got a warranty replacement from Yokohama because there were multiple bubbles in one of my tires. Of course it is a pro-rated subsidization, but who cares if you're getting new tires anyway. Worth a shot...

Follow the link, Eddie gives an explanation there.

20k on your S03's, huh? That's really encouraging to hear. I just got mine and I'm really happy with them, so I hope I get a similar lifespan from mine.

Stolen from the S4 board...

I guess I hit something.

As for the 20k, I drive mostly highway miles. And I drive very soft, compared to other audiworld'ers :)

Just curious. I was expecting the tires to be ready for replacement by 20K, but that is encouraging (apart from the bubble of course).

Thanks!
