I've search the archive and didn't find anything about this topic.
I just purchased a Passat 1.8t 5spd a week ago. I would love to get an A4, but I decided to get a Passat because of the price difference and the size. I need a bigger car for my 'future' family. Anyways, I would like to see if the A4 sports suspension will fit Passat. The factory setting of the Passat is too soft. I understand that the Passat is heavier and the ride height is different from the A4. Therefore I'm not sure if it will fit. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks.
- Thomas -

The front suspensions on the A4 and Passat are almost identical. The rear is the same only in the A4 front wheel drive. A sports suspension from a A4q will not work. Greedspeed who advertises on A4.org has a Neuspeed suspension set up for a great price. Check out there web page. I have no affiliation with them. Good luck.
Thanks for the input.
I forgot to mention that I do have experience with after market susupension upgrade. I used to have a Jetta GLX with Neuspeed soft sport springs and Boge pro-gas shocks. The result was not too satisfying. This combination doesn't handle high speed big bumpers very well. May be Boge doesn't work well with Neuspeed springs. I believe A4's factory sport suspension should be better, and would probably not as stiff as any after market setting.
Thanks.
- Thomas -

I have a 98 GLS--after a couple months stock I installed a set of Borbet "M" with bridgestone potenza 930ies---205/55/16---Now for the winter I changed back to the stock conis---cannot believe how badly the handling changed--try the 16 inch wheel and tire package first--less sidewall less flex during cornering--this may satisify you for the least effort--I paid $1099 mounted/balanced/new bolts and delivered to my door from tire rack.
