View Full Version : Ok, so I'm doing a +0 tire swap from 205/55R16 to 225/50R16 with Michelin Pilot Sports...

... and dealer has offered the Michelin Pilot Sport AS instead of the Pilot Sport. The AS is an All Season tire compound while the straight Pilot Sport is summer only. I run winter tires so the AS is not required for me. What I like is the 400 treadwear of the AS.

Can anyone comment on the Pilot Sport AS compared to the non AS. I don't want to give up any performance. Would I be better off keeping my stock size Pilot Sports over the +0 Pilot Sport AS or should I wait for the +0 Pilot Sports.

I think my next tire will be Dunlop SP9000 in 225/50R16 (or who knows, I might get 17" rims).

Thanks,
Kirk

You'll really need to make a decision between 400 tread life and not wanting to give up any performance. Can't have both.....
