Is 215/45/17 too narrow for a 17 X 7.5 wide rim?

However I think the offset matters as well. But there should be a tire guru that can hel p you with this. Just my $.02.

Not sure why you want to go with 215. I have 225/45/17s on my car with 17x7.5" ET40, but ET35 will work too. I would not want a more narrow tire on there - I want as much rim protection as possible.

215 will be too narrow and also will make the speedo off - I have not checked how much.
