i'm thinking about going with some 18" MM Spider's for my a4, so now i'm looking at
tires. what do you guys think of the following tires (225/45/18):
kumho ecsta supra 712: $123
dunlop sp sport w-10: $152
pirelli p7000 supersport: $163
are the kumho's good? i want to save as much money as possible, so i definitely like
the price... :) as long as they aren't horrible tires, i'd be happy.
People generally say that p7000's suck..
There have been good review on the Kumhos
The W-10's are cheap and have REALLY bad wet performance..i had them on my old M3
they were crummy
Also the size is 225/40/18 not 225/45/18-that is too large

I've had 2 out of those 3 on my A4 and the P7000SS tires suck. They sounded like a baby being beaten with a cat after 10-15k miles and performance wasn't that great. I've had my Kumhos for 200 miles now and love them. They handle really well and are very quiet. I'm curious to see how they hold up over time and if they retain these qualities, but for the price, they simply can't be beat. I've heard nothing but good things about them from everyone else who has them as well. The only other tire I can think of in the price range would be the Sumitomo HTRZ II and I've heard of noise and sidewall issues with some of them.
Hope this helps.

I am going with MM Spider 18's and Kumho 225/40/18's. You may also consider Yokohama Prada's, they are about $138 and a decent tire.
