cloudious

I'm in the market for some new tires right now and both of these look like decent tires for a good price. I've seen many people post good reports about the Kumhos, but not much about the Sumitomos. I really want a good all-around tire with low noise (my P7000SSs are howling now) and good performance. I live in the Houston area so snow is never a problem but it does rain a bit. These will be in 225/45/17. Any and all advice or experiences are welcome. Thanks.

Kumhos will probably last longer and offer better wet weather performance. By the way, Sumitomo is the parent company of Dunlop!
I had the Sumits and wrote the writeup in the user review. They were good tires, but after about 13 - 15K miles, they started making howling noise. I am now running Yoko AVS Sports, and I think they are alot better. YMMV.
