I'm looking to buy Ace Lola 17" wheels and I don't know what I should be looking for as far as offset, spacers, wheel lugs/bolts etc. Do I need any of these things or do I just ask for 17" wheels with a bolt pattern of 5x112 and use my stock lugs?

ET35-45 generally is fine.

Several people running lolas here - no spacers needed for A4s- but S4 do need them.

Remember to carry a set of your old bolts in the car for your spare.

I picked up a used set of 17s for my 96 A4QM but I didn't get the appropriate bolts. It seems that America's Tire is having trouble gettting the right bolt length for me. They even asked ACE wheels. I know that some AWers are using stock bolts but the seat is incorrect. Stock are ball seat, correct application is cone seat. Not sure if that'll cause damage in the long run.
