I've reviewed the archives for info on upgrading turbo hoses and saw a few posts on Samco hoses. I've also been told that these don't fit perfectly and can create more problems than the stock hoses. What's the story? Is it recommended to change the stock hoses if you're running over 14 lbs of boost?

It is highly recommended to change the stock turbo hoses when you place the boost above 14 lbs. I have never heard of Samco having problems with fitting, however, I highly recommend the Samco hoses if you plan on doing higher end performance upgrades.

I have the Samco hoses and no problem so far. It's highly recommended if you want to go 14lbs
