I have posted this on A4.org but no help and I wonder if you might render your opinion:
A4 pedals are very high up. For my Auto even, they require you to retract your foot excessively to depress pedals. Behind the foot
brake for eg. there is 6" of clearance. To drive comfortably, I have to push chair back. 1" back IS 1" less rear room. A4 is already
SUCH A SQUEEZE.
I removed lower panels and adjusted brake pedals 1&1/2" lower VERY GOOD. My foot is very comfortable and the seats need not
be that far back. (FORGET ABOUT THE INTENDED ACCELERATION PROBLEM!)
WAIT, how do I now adjust the Accelerator Pedal lower cos they are now in line with the BRAKE pedal.????

You wrote:
"I removed lower panels and adjusted brake pedals 1&1/2" lower VERY GOOD."
By lower, I assume you meant back....toward the firewall (or as engineers like to call it, the thermal incident wall).
Would you please explain how you did this in very specific detail? How did you make this adjustment exactly? I recently installed a MOMO Corse pedal cover set and had the accelerator pedal modified (removed pivoting pedal cover). I did not see any easy way to move the brake lever back toward the firewall, short of modifying the lever itself.
I would like the brake and pedal to be the same level so I can blip the throttle which the current setup makes basically impossible with my relatively narrow foot width.
Thanks! -Cathleen

Chris, thank's for your info on the brake pedal. I have not had the time to get in under the dash (how the hell do you do that confortably anyway ?). I'll have time this weekend and I'll figure out what to do with the gas pedal.

I've been really busy at work this past week and have been speed cruising the pages ...I missed the thread yesterday.
I'll have to work on adjusting the brake height next week. Oh boy am I excited! I can't wait to practice blipping the throttle without having to do the modified and not very smooth version (brake, clutch in, let off brake, quick blip, brake on, clutch out, brake out, gas on, whew!).
IF ONLY I HAD MY CAR!!!!
I'm going through withdrawals this week. (Crankiness, irritability, swearing at the loaner car I'm driving, etc.) The paint shop is re-painting my rear bumper & sideskirts again (they didn't match the paint that well the first 2 tries) and they've had it all week. I won't get it until Monday. :( I'm driving a manual-shift 2-door Ford Explorer all week. I miss my car so much.....Arrrrrgh!
-Cathleen

Put the drivers chair all the way back after removing panel. Put a cloth over the footwell. Use a torch to see. Lie the lower body outside and head in footwell. Locate the pump cylinder by moving pedal and watching. Adjust the locknut...... BUT DO NOT OVERADJUST!!!! Most optimum is to have pedal 1/4" above acc pedal. That leaves 5" of travel so if fluid boils, the pedal goes to the floor and activates the rear circuit.
