I have posted this on A4.org but no help and I wonder if you might render your opinion:
A4 pedals are very high up. For my Auto even, they require you to retract your foot excessively to depress pedals. Behind the foot
brake for eg. there is 6" of clearance. To drive comfortably, I have to push chair back. 1" back IS 1" less rear room. A4 is already
SUCH A SQUEEZE.
I removed lower panels and adjusted brake pedals 1&1/2" lower VERY GOOD. My foot is very comfortable and the seats need not
be that far back. (FORGET ABOUT THE INTENDED ACCELERATION PROBLEM!)
WAIT, how do I now adjust the Accelerator Pedal lower cos they are now in line with the BRAKE pedal.????

They are set pretty far back/up. Is it really a problem to have them lined up? I like them level to heel/toe, although not an issue for your auto.
Un-Intended acceleration was a combination of pedal positioning and a really fast idle chip.

One concern: do you still have enough brake pedal travel to fully apply brakes even if you lose front or rear brake circuit? When I lowered the pedal on my Porsche, I opened a front brake caliper bleed port, then pushed hard on the pedal to ensure I still had pedal travel to apply to rear brake circuit. Critical if you ever intend to go to a race track driver's education event where you are teally using the brakes hard and they could become spongy.

Thank you for the tip on how to lower the
brake pedal... this is exactly what I was
trying to do ! Now the accelerator pedal is
in line with the brake one and I can easily
heel/toe :-)

It's easy, remove lower panel and adjust cylinder locknut. And brake/interlock switch.
Thanks! for your comment. It truely is valid. I cannot verify this and gurantee. Whilst I was adjusting, I left about 3 ins of travel to the carpets. I think this should be sufficient. Can anybody enlighten??? OR should I check thoroughly.??
