Hello All,

I think I've finally decided on picking up a set of 17" Axis Se7ens with Yoko 225/45/17 AVS Sports on them.

My question is regarding the width and offset of the Se7ens. On their websight it states the 17" wheels are 7" wide, 5x114.5 Bolt Pattern and +40 offset. The offset I've been seeing has been around +35 on most wheels. Is this particular wheel going to make much of a difference? Also, most other wheels have a 7.5" width. Do I need to be worried about the tire hanging out over the rim more than it should be?

I plan on lowering the car an additional 1" with some H&R sport springs and Koni adjustables..should I have anything to worry about with tire rub kind of stuff once it's lowered?

Thanks,
-Brent

You're buying 17" ET40 rims with the same width as your stock 16" rims that have an offset of ET45? Also your bolt pattern is wrong, you need 5x112.

I wouldn't worry about fitting 225 tires on the rim (commonly done on the 16x7 rims), but I'd opt for a wider wheel.

Note that the S4 wheels are 17x7.5 with an ET45 offset...and they are set in from the wheel well (too much, IMHO). Most 17x8, ET35 rims will run flush with the wheel well.<p>Sharon

Is it possible that the Axis website is wrong and they do in fact have 5x112 bolt pattern rims? Perhaps they have different offset's available as well that aren't listed?

What bolt patter/size/offset of rim should I be asking for when I call them :)

Thanks,
-Brent
