Haven't had any snow in Cleveland yet. I hope the P7000 SS will get me through the white stuff. How do they compare to your stock RS-A's in the snow?
Thanks
George
97 1.8TqAS TAPII
94 911 Carrera 4

I don't know how they compare to the RSA's, but I have my 7 spoke 16" P7000SS in the snow twice a week for snowboarding. They are competent in the snow and great wet. They are not bad in the dry, but don't compare to 18" SP8000 for the off snowboarding season.
NeilM
PS We should move this thread over to wheel/tire forum.

Avant/Snowboarding the perfect combination

I had mine in the snow last year, and was not too impressed, comparing them to BF Goodrich's Comp T/A VR4's that I had on my Subaru SVX the previous winter. I was pushing snow to the top of the front bumper in the BFG's and never spun at all, but with the P7000SS, I was spinning all the way up the street to our house last winter. I am attributing this to the tires, and hoping it's not the difference in the AWD systems. Also the Pirelli's are 235/45 R17's compared to 225/50 R16's on the SVX. Other contributing factors could be that I was still (I believe) running 40psi in the Pirelli's compared to approx. 32psi in the BFG's. If we get much snow this year, I plan on buying a 15" wheel/tire package from Tire Rack. It will prevent damage to the 17" wheels in addition to the traction advantage.
