I tried contacting 3 online dealers and nobody wanted to offer much of a discount, let alone match the $150each pricing.

Victoria Tire initially said they would but when I called the Sales Mgr (Gabriel) back he said "ACE told him not to go below retail price or they would cut off his supply", which is total BS 'cause ACE told me Victoria would probably give me the best discount! PrecisionInstallations.com would go down to $650 a set for 17" lolas.

So, I went back to my local Discount Tire and they said $165 per wheel. I may even try another Discount Tire nearby to see if they'll give me a better price, since the ones in CA seem to be quoting ~$150.

Also, it took some doing as the local store had to call the Discount Tire HQ to get a cost on them. They did say that ACE has a very low defect rate compared to other special order wheel brands.

Now I need to decide what tires to buy between:

Bridgestone RE730s
Sumi HTRZ2
Kumho Ecsta 712 (anxiously awaiting Tire Racks testing)
Nitto NT 450s (which my local Discount Tire would sell me @ $112 each for 225/45/17).

They said that they installed a set of Ace wheels last week on an Audi. Their impression was that the wheels were nice, but the snap-in hubs were not of the quality they were used to with BBS and Ronal. They were not uniform in size as they should be. Could be an freak occurrance...my Lolas should be here next week. Either using Toyo T1-S or Yoko AVS Sport.
