Reason I ask, is that I got the "replica" 15" 5-spokes from Discount tire for winter but have the feeling that these don't replicate anything but maybe the 16" 5-spoke. My real dilemma is that I'm a little dissatisfied with the plastic hubcentric rings that came with it and was keeping an out for factory 15" 5-spokers. However, there may have never been factory 15" 5-spokers.

USA A4 factory wheels are or have been (someone correct me, if I'm wrong):

16" 5-spoke (past/current 2.8 non-sport)
16" 7-spoke (past 2.8/1.8T sport)
15" 8-spoke (past/current 1.8T non-sport)
16" 10-spoke (current 2.8/1.8T sport)

The 1997 A4 1.8T had a different non-flat-spoke design from the later eight-spoke design. This was only on non-sport models.

A five-spoke 15-inch wheel was available in Spain and Italy on 1996 2.8 models with the sport package. The wheels on the 1995 2.8Q are slightly different from the 1996 2.8Q, though both are five-spoke the difference may be that the latter has a beefier five spoke design that looked more "American" since the 2.8Q began being imported to the States in 1996.

For most places, the fifteen-inch steel wheels are standard with the twelve-spoke cover. There is also a sixteen-inch steel wheel offered in Eastern Europe with a five-spoke cover meant to look like the 2.8Q's stock wheel.
