Silly question: my A4 has a very dusty instrument cover (maybe at the dealer prep they just rubbed it with a cloth and it is statically charged).
So how do I clean it without scratching it?
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Andrei D.
Red 1.8T QMS

I picked up a bottle of stuff made specifically for this purpose at the local Trak. It was with all the other cleaning supplies. It works great, I'm at work now, if you want the name, e-mail me, I'll send it later.

Have you seen those California Car Dusters (sort of like a small red mop) for dusting the outside of the car? There is a small version called Dash Duster that is great for the dash, including instrument panel. If you don't want to do it this way, you can use a damp terrycloth towel to blot the plastic and take the dust off. If you scrub, it will obviously scratch. Once the dust is gone, furniture polish (e.g., Lemon Pledge) does a great job as making it look really clean. Abrasive-free car waxes will work also but are more work and you have to rub harder to get the residue off.
If you have scratches already that you want to get rid of, plastic polish, as suggested below, might do it.
