I know it is not an A4 but I wanted to post this here because I feel like I can count on you guys for reliable information since, like me, you love A4s (and because the A4's big brother is what I pull out of my arsenal during debates with my friends who like BMWs and M-Bs I want to know it well). Why is it that the A8, with 300 horses goes 0-60 in 6.9 sec and the S8 goes 0-60 in 6.8 sec with 40 more horses? Am I missing something here? Shouldn't it get to 60 in at most 6.2? I guess the difference between the two isn't as much about the speed as the handling...tell me what you guys think.<p>I got thenumbers from the Audi world site and the Audi-UK site, respectively.

<br>0-60 times are a weak comparison between cars, especially ones meant for the highway. Compare 100-140 times and then see what you think. Yes, I know those numbers probably don't exist on the net, but you get the point.<p>Todd W

The S8 does 0-62 in 6.8. (A8: 7.1)<br>

It`s supposed to do it in 5.5 sek with the six-speed manual available in Europe.
