They are very good tires. I have no complaints so far. You might try these tires. I have a 96 A4 Quattro with the 7 spokes and they fit perfectly under the wheel well. They are also great in dry and rainy conditions. I haven't had a chance to take them up to the snow yet, but I will.

I bought the same tires and didn't like them as much as the SP 8000E's. I thought the Michelins had a lot of tread squirm when taking a fast corner. The Michelins are not a cheap tire either. I bought a set of 17" Ronal R-28's with Pirelli P7000 supersports. I will use the Michelins for winter. They just felt like too much of a compromise for my driving taste. I would stay with the SP 8000E.
