Some of you may know that I run Koni sport shocks, w. Neuspeed sport springs, and 27mm front & 22 mm. rear sway bars.
I opted for the Neuspeed when I noticed that the springs that I was using seemed a bit spongy. Upon changing the springs, we did a load test comparison, and the springs that I had changed to and was now replacing were app. 30% softer, after only 4 months of use.
The Neuspeed springs/sway bars/and shocks have been a very effective package. The front springs have a spring rate of 390 lbs/in and rears are 360 lbs/in.---vs. the ORIGINAL of 205 front and 180 lbs rear.
I opted for the larger sway bars, solid 27mm front and 22mm rears. The factory's are 27mm tubular front and 12.5mm solid rears. Now, the 99's+ have a 29mm front and 15mm. rear
The sport Koni's feature owner adjustable rebound dampening. You have to remove the shock from the vehicle--and one can fine-tune the shock depending on driving tastes, habits, etc.
This has proven to be a very effective setup for my tastes and driving habits. It is, I'm quite certain, not meant for the masses, but it truly offers a performance ride, especially in high-performance driving venues.
Further, one can adjust one's ride characteristics by adjusting airpressure, and alignment spec's as well,--again mostly for hi-performance driving.
I hope this sheds a little light and provides a bit of information. --If you have any additional questions you can email me at ronalusa@ronalusa.com.
