If I'm really rockin loud, I usually can't hear my V1 alarm, at full volume. Does anyone know of a way to increase the max volume level on this thing? No, I won't turn down the stereo.
Klutes 98.5 Silver 1.8 TQMS set on Radiohead

You could move it to the lower windsheild in front of you so that you would see that alarm(but that would hurt rearward warnings), or you could buy the concealed display option, and mount that on you steering column. you wont be able to hear it, but having it in your field of vision will make it noticable.
Christian

I mount the unit low on the windshield and I've never had a problem with rearward warnings not coming through in time. It is theoretically possible, but in practice I've had no problem (I mount in the center so it can 'see' out the back window, not blocked by my body, etc.)... and for laser warning, since the target is generally your license plate, which is low, the lower height should not be a big negative....
