Hey Everyone,
I got my windows tinted almost a month ago. However, there were bubbles in the tint that were fairly obvious. Small, but noticeable. I went back a couple of times, and eventuallly set an appointment to have three of my windows re-tinted this morning.
They did both the side windows that needed re-tinting, however, they want me to sign a waiver before taking off the rear tint. The reason was that they're afraid of damaging the rear defrost lines when they cut and peel the existing tint out. They don't want to pay for a new rear glass if they damage it in the process.
I'm getting different information about the possibility of damage from the shop and the actual tint applicator. How susceptible is the rear defrost line on the A4 to damage of this kind? I really want to fix my tint, because the bubbles really bug me, but I don't want non-functioning rear defrosters either.
Any comments or suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

James Wu
A4 Club of Vancouver
1998 Black/Onyx 1.8tqa

A4 Club of Vancouver
