I have a Silver 1.8T and am looking for new wheels. I am trying to decide between Borbet Type E and Ronal R28s. Can anyone think of any pros and cons that would make my decision easier?

---ELH
98.5 Silver 1.8T FWD/M

Style choices are an individual thing---The R-28 was recently chosed as the Best Quality Wheel, by the German TUV organization over many competitors, inc. Borbet!
I believe that the Type E is relatively new in comparison with the R-28. So I am not sure that they would have been compared in the first place. However I am looking to see which wheel is lighter, will fit the A4 better and mostly if anyone has pic of the Type E, please post them.....

I too was looking into this. I personally think the A4's look best with wheels that look "busy". 5-spoke wheels just didn't so anything for me. So in my quest for a set of extra wheels I narrowed it down to either finding some 7-spoke oem sport wheels or the R-28. Seeing the the R-28 received a wheel of the year award for quality and the fact that it will be easier to clean the the oem sport, that's what I ordered. I too have a silver car. I should receive the wheels next week and will take a digital photo. Send me an email say after Wednesday and I email the photo back.
