I was womdering if anyone knows if 235/40 18's or even 235/40 17 will fit ok on the car without rubbing or causing too much inaccuracy with the speedo? I plan on lowering the car but no more than like 1 1/2 thanks for the info

Graham Mahoney in Australia has this set-up and the does have lowered springs as well. The speedo may be off a little bit, but not that much. I am actually considering that size for me.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM
(H&R coilovers w/225/45/17 Ronal R-28s)
No rubbing, minimal speedo difference - like can you really tell the difference between 66 and 68, no you are doing somewhere between 65 and 70 ( or you are spending too much time looking at your instruments and not enough time observing the road ahead ).
If going to 18 inch the 225/40 would be a better size, as 235/40 is over stock diameter by far enough to possibly cause problems.
Nearly every 18 inch shod A4 I have seen has had 225/40s all round ( bar one clown who had 255/35 on 18x10 at the rear of a FWD, complete with rolled out guards)
Hope that helps
Graham
