Tire dealer scratched all 4 of my 7 spokers. He said they could send them off to Transwheel and have them re-finished. Any thoughts? Also, do you recommend weights on the inside, outside, or both? Thanks Gary.<p>Klutes 98.5 Silver 1.8TQMS

Sorry to hear about your problem. It happens, especially w. untrained personnel. <br>First I don't recommend that weights be affixed to the outside. Generally, when the weight is attached, it cuts through the clear coat of the wheel and eventually goes bad--why manufacturers persist in designing their wheels w. lips to attach weights is beyond me!!The new 3m taped weights are as good if not better and much more unsightly. <br>As far as the refinishing of the wheels it should be ok, just remember the paint won't be identical nor will the durability of the clear coat finish--hopefully they'll clear coat them. Otherwise, you should be ok, just make sure they balance out alright. Gary.
